I’m going to stray from my usual political satire to promote an idea with this article. I had an idea I wanted to share with you and maybe the word will get out there and something will come from this idea. I’m not saying this is a unique groundbreaking idea and it may have been suggested before or even implemented in some form by a company or two with or without aid from the Federal Government. I’m choosing to use Apple as my company example for this idea. It could apply to a number of companies but I chose Apple because of their technological niche and the fact that they have more cash on hand than the U.S. Federal Government. My idea is a business plan to create jobs in the USA by bringing manufacturing back here, and by helping veterans in the process especially wounded veterans by getting a career after their service that will help assimilate them back into civilian life.
I envision this idea as a boilerplate for a business plan for many companies in this country that will help solve some of the major economic problems our country is suffering from today. I would like the Federal Government to foreclose on the abandoned failed green energy stimulus funded Solyndra Manufacturing Plant in Northern California and give it to Apple for their use to manufacture their products in this country. Apple can receive this gift from the taxpayers if 100% of the workforces for that plant are veterans and at least 50% of those veterans have injuries received in the service of this country. I chose Apple because of their location to the Solyndra plant; they are the most successful, innovative and profitable technology company going so they won’t fail like a Solyndra and they have the ingenuity and cash to pull this off. Since they have developed voice activated technology, they should be able to develop voice activated manufacturing equipment that can be used by veterans that have lost their limbs to operate in the production of Apple products. I would give Apple a tax holiday to bring any money back from profits overseas to develop more plants like this or to take over other failed Stimulus businesses or other depressed areas in America. I would also excuse Apple from paying payroll taxes for their ex-military employees. These tax savings will be given so that Apple will work with the VA to have on-site mental and physical rehab centers at the workplace for their veteran employees to help them recover from their wounds while being employed and helping them assimilate back into civilian life. I would give them further tax breaks if they can use some of the wasted Solyndra equipment to develop a Solar battery that can be competitive and be used for Apple products in an effort to add a green component to this project and hopefully get rid of pain-in-the-ass chargers once and for all.
There is so much government waste by this and all administrations so maybe we can recover some of our wasted tax payer dollars by creating projects like this that will make the U. S. business-friendly again and a destination for manufacturing while putting our people back to work. The marketing possibilities are endless. Every Apple product is successful and if you add a “Made in America by American Veterans Brand” they will dominate the world even more so and it will force other companies to do something similar to compete with this idea by bringing jobs back to this country and making this country an unstoppable force once again. This boilerplate can be used for many industries throughout the country and actually will make government useful by getting out of the way of business and allowing our tax dollars to be used in a positive manner and not wasted in a bath tub in Vegas. Like I said, this isn’t a unique idea and some companies may have something like this and I don’t know how much manufacturing Apple does overseas compared to here in the U.S. but I used them as an example that can be used by all American companies by using American Veterans for manufacturing jobs that will stimulate the economy in this country again with a concept as simple as MADE IN AMERICA BY AMERICA’S BEST.
